Ways To Make Money Online

March 23rd, 2010

Making money online can be easy if you know what type of jobs to look for. This article will give you a quick run over on some of the common types of Internet jobs. There really are endless possibilities but at least this is a start.

It is possible to make money online without spending money. For instance you could sell a product of your own. You could write an e-book for example about something you know a lot about. If you are knowledgeable with dogs, write a book about different ways to train puppies. Then you can sell them on the internet. There are people who are willing to pay for information like this. You can also sell someone else’s product. This is called an internet affiliate program. You refer people to a site that you have signed up with and when someone buys something from that site, you get a percentage of what they made. This is one of the most common and easiest ways to make money online. However, it is not always as easy as it sounds, so you should get some good education about it before attempting to try it. You can also sell advertising space, which involves having your own web page, and when you have a large amount of traffic visiting your site, advertising companies will pay you to display their ads on your site.

Which ever method you chose will not be an easy one however. There is a lot of work involved in making money online. Many people have been fooled into thinking that they can make thousands of dollars a month after just starting up. This is not realistic. To be successful in making money online, you are going to have to be prepared to work hard, and for a long time for it to pay off. You will also want to make sure you know exactly what you are doing before you venture into any type of online business.

A Crucial Guide To Buying Mattresses

March 14th, 2010

Finding a mattress is certainly not something you normally do often, as a well built product ought to endure for a number of years. Before going on to the Internet or a mattress outlet, you need to consider some tips so that you pick the best investment for your sleeping needs. Find a diverse collection of home and garden products including; single mattresses, bakeware and coffee tables from leading brands online.

Innerspring mattresses are incredibly popular. With a number of mattresses the quality is caused by the specific quantity of coils yet other mattresses make use of a lot fewer metal coils but comes with a somewhat thicker wire gauge. The actual amount or thickness of the metal coils should not make a difference in the buying although the overall comfort of the mattress should always be very important.

Pillowtop mattresses are produced to create a much softer, comfortable bed. The pillowtop portion is purely various layers of cotton with either wool or foam sewn to the top of the mattress. Never feel that you ought to obtain a pillowtop for much better sleep in particular if the asking price is substantially more than an innerspring. The same effect can simply be done at home by having additional mats on the top of the mattress.

The precise thickness of the mattress doesn’t guarantee you will get a comfy mattress. Countless companies make thicker mattresses to create a better display product. Keep in mind that the thicker the mattress is, then the heavier it will end up being. Will it fit through the doors in your studio bungalow? Will the headboard still be seen once the mattress is put on top of the boxspring? Boxsprings are an additional cost when you are shopping for a bed. Boxsprings are not vital for a comfortable slumber. Instead, the item could easily be avoided by putting the mattress on top of a base. The majority of Europeans do this and don’t use a boxspring at all.

A great number of buyers buys a solid bed if they have back pains. This has been proven medically pointless. Back pain comes from the bodily structure, position and often how the person is made. Do not feel pressured to obtain a bed that promotes back pain support.

Solid foam mattresses have in recent years become awfully popular although the high price discourages countless buyers. The foam mattresses form into the shape of the body and mimic weightlessness for a considerably more calming sleep. However, there must be a shielding sheet purchased as well to place over the mattress plus a platform to place the mattress on.

One necessary decision that must be deliberated is whether to get a warranty. Generally, guarantees are to be had for ten to twenty years and offer protection against stains, breakage and deficiencies. Since these issues usually come about within the first 60 days after your purchase, think about signing up for the 30 to 60 day return or refund.

Society is wrong about Prohibition!

January 18th, 2010

The Kids have all the Best Drugs thanks to Prohibition!
Drug Prohibition (Un-Winnable “federal” War on Drugs) The obvious answer is not always the correct one. (Approx. 70% of crime is drug related – Prohibition related “in reality”) (2 million Americans incarcerated – more than Russia & China)

Since the beginning of civilization, humans have found a need to alter their states of consciousness. Humans have used many different things but these things always become more of a problem to society when governments try to prohibit them in an attempt to control the actions of consenting adults!

The urge or need for adults to alter their states of consciousness or “get HIGH” is evident in human beings. Some alter their states of consciousness with drugs, alcohol, meditation & even religion! Religious fanatics for example, are blinded by religion from seeing & hearing Logic, Reasoning & Common Sense arguments because they are “high on religion”.

They are intoxicated by their beliefs & can not be reasoned with because they have faith. Faith or Blind obedience to an un-provable theory is a dangerous thing however, when the un-provable beliefs are forced on others as with the case of legislating morality & religious motivated terrorism by the “true believers”.

Americans who think that their bodies are the property of the government should have little or no problem with drug prohibition but those Americans who understand the Constitution & KNOW that their bodies are private property & NOT government property – should have serious problems with drug prohibition!

“The KIDS have all the BEST DRUGS… thanks to PROHIBITION!

Prohibition results in a black market that employs criminals, who put drugs into the hands of our children, creating younger & younger addicts – fueling the drug problem!

Put drugs back in the DRUG STORES & out of the hands of CRIMINALS & CHILDREN! T-Shirt available at the link below. Link: http://www.cafeshops.com/drugprohibition

And last but not least, drug prohibition employs criminals who end up turning our young women into prostitutes! Don’t believe me? Just go to Google.com & search for porn, sex, etc. You will see MANY young women with all sorts of men to include your local drug dealer – employed & empowered by prohibition!

Many of these 2 bit thugs would not even have the money for a disposable camera but with drug prohibition at hand, these 2 bit thugs are transformed into rich, violent & powerful gangsters!

They use the lucrative drug profits resulting from prohibition to buy these video cameras! They often lure the young women into porn with drugs that the women are addicted to! Drugs are not evil. They were put here by God but playing God has resulted in drugs becoming powerful with a flourishing black market employing & empowering such criminals!

Prohibition makes drugs worth their weight in GOLD! And in this country, in our materialistic society, the golden rule applies. “He who has the gold makes all the rules!”

Solution: “Put drugs back into the drug stores & out of the hands of criminals!”

Did ALCOHOL (USERS) OR ALCOHOL PROHIBIITON finance the TERRORISM of Al Capone?

If it was alcohol, then why does alcohol not finance terrorism today?

Answer: Because, alcohol is in the liquor stores where it belongs – in a legal & regulated market & not employing CRIMINALS through prohibition! T-Shirt available at the link below. Link: http://www.cafeshops.com/drugprohibition

So, by electing religious professing career politicians, who support drug prohibition or simply by letting them legislate morality – running all over the Constitution, we have unwittingly employed criminals & turned out daughters into prostitutes!

All this has occurred because we played God & violated the Constitution while trying to keep other adult Americans from sinning (by using drugs).

Preventing Adults from Sinning by Legislating Morality – EMPLOYS CRIMINALS! Those criminals do far worse damage to Society than legal drugs ever could have!

Sin City; Antagonist Fatalism or the Ultimate Good vs Evil?

January 18th, 2010

The Sin City DVD blew my mind, or maybe I should say,
warped my mind. I haven’t been a great fan of Graphic
Novels, but this movie encouraged me to purchase a few of
the Sin City books. Frank Miller’s now famous, series
creations have taken us into the world of a bizarre surreal
environment of death, destruction and gallows underbelly
lifestyles.

Is the story telling and artistry supposed to show a world
we hope would never exist in our white bread world? Or is
it an ultimate achievement of good (disguised as part of
the underbelly) trying to subdue evil? I prefer to think
the latter.

The film itself is a work of pure cinematography genius.
With the classic film noir overlay and the visual tricks
and special effects, it looks as if you would open the Sin
City graphic novel and have the pages come to life. This, I
do believe, is the closest I have seen a movie come to the
actual artwork and content of the original paper versions.

The very concept and style of Sin City, whether it be the
movie or the novels, is not for everyone. The plot and
violence are very graphic and definitely not for younger
audiences. But as graphic as the movie is, due to the
nature of the moving comic book background, it doesn’t
bring out the reality and gore that could have been
pictured. Personally, I enjoyed this toning down. I would
hate to think that I could actually condone this kind of
violent activity.

Robert Rodriguez in collaboration with series creator,
Frank Miller have ingeniously intertwined four of the
Graphic Novels into the making of Sin City. “The Customer
is Always Right”, opens the movie even before the credits
starts. Then “The Hard Goodbye”, “Big Fat Kill” and “That
Yellow Bastard” make up the rest of the movie.

I for one was impressed with the casting and how the actors
seemed to fit the characters to perfection. I am starting
to see a pattern though, in that certain actors are
starting to show up in various comic book related movies of
the new Hollywood features. The Kingpin (Michael Clarke
Duncan) from Daredevil, for example, is also a character in
Sin City. Do you think you can spot him? He is pretty hard
to miss.

It looks like by now, Jessica Alba may be vying for the
Title “Queen of the Comic Book Movies” (ha ha). She also
came out this year in The Fantastic Four and will be in the
sequel when it comes out.

With the new outcry for realistic comic book character
movies and the new Hollywood technologies that make them
possible, it looks like the original character creators
want to reap some of the exposure. Stan Lee, of Marvel
Comics fame, manages to get a cameo appearance every now
and again in his character creation movies. And now, in Sin
City, Frank Miller was justified in putting his mug on the
wide screen. He appears as the, shall we say, sinister
priest that Marv (Mickey Rourke) decides he is justified in
blowing away. How many more comic book character creators
do you think we will see in cameo rolls as more movies are
produced?

If you are an avid fan of Frank Miller and, in particular,
Sin City, then you will quite probably feel this one of the
best movies to come out of Hollywood in 2005. If you are
unfamiliar with the entire Sin City theme and series,
advance with caution and don’t watch it with the young or
the young at heart (ha). The movie, in my mind, is
definitely a visual sensation. And I hear that Sin City II
may be ready for us in the summer of 2006. Enjoy.

What’s the Right Physical Training Frequency?

January 11th, 2010

As controversial as what physical training methods to use is the topic of physical training frequency.

Physical training frequency is how often you should physically train to get optimum performance improvements to reach your fitness training goals.

Let me first ask you a question…

Why do we participate in physical fitness training programs in the first place?

No, I’m not talking about all the benefits of exercise that we commonly hear or even the desire to look better.

I’m talking about what makes it necessary for us to add physical training into our daily lifestyle.

Why can’t we just do without it?

For the answer, we must look back in time…

Early men and women did not have to add physical training to their lifestyle… because daily life was so demanding that it made extra physical activity unnecessary.

Our bodies were not only made to survive in this demanding world… but flourish in it.

The world has become considerably less demanding… but our bodies don’t know that.

Human evolution is way behind the advancements of mankind.

But what does all this have to do with physical training frequency?

Simply put…

If our bodies were made to adapt and flourish to a high level of activity in a demanding environment, and the environment that we currently live in no longer provides the stimulus necessary for this adaptation and flourishing, than our physical training must make up the difference.

OK, taking this into account… what do you think our physical training frequency should be?

That’s right… our physical training frequency should be every day!

Oh, I know… Everybody has been brainwashed by the body building community and commercial fitness industry to believe that the best physical training frequency should be every other day, or 3 times a week.

Actually, depending on what type of muscle building program you are on… the recommended physical training frequency can even be less.

But remember this…

Bodybuilders are interested in increasing muscle mass… not improving over-all fitness levels to get optimal usage out of the body.

Now, I have nothing against increasing muscle size… but I do have a problem with increasing muscle size at the expense of strength, conditioning and fitness levels.

But wait a minute… If I am recommending a physical training frequency of every day, what about overtraining?

Again… if you are training to force your body to grow muscle, overtraining would be a real concern with such a high physical training frequency.

But what if your were physically training to “optimize” your strength, conditioning and fitness levels by improving 10 different physical abilities… and used different training methods, intensities and stresses in your training to do so?

That’s right… strength, conditioning and fitness improvement without the fear of overtraining.

If you want to reach your true physical potential, you must train your body in the manner in which it was made to be used.

Our bodies were designed not only to survive, but to flourish, in a cruel and harsh environment… an environment that would be physically demanding each and every day.

Do you really think body building type training and moderate, aerobic exercise 3 days a week can make up for our otherwise undemanding lives?

I’ve never heard a caveman say, “Sorry, Saber-Tooth Tiger, I can’t wrestle with you today because it is my day off. I have a strength and conditioning workout scheduled for Monday, so do you think we could wrestle then?”

If you want to meet the random challenges of sport, work and life with excellence… your physical training frequency must reflect that desire.

The Change – When Menopause Became A Disease

January 11th, 2010

The medicalization of menopause is a process that has subtly been going on since the 1930’s, although it wasn’t until the 1960’s that it really picked up momentum in the public eye. This medicalization has transformed the understanding of what is a natural process, into one defined as a disease.

When you define something as a disease, then treatment becomes compulsory. And the implication is that if you don’t get treatment, or what is defined as acceptable treatment, then you are being irresponsible and negligent in your own health. Women’s menopausal experiences were for a long time dismissed as the product of their own imaginations, then later embraced by pharmaceutical companies and subverted to push their shiny new pills.

And given that HRT has been so widely taken up by women, and is still used despite its risks, it has been a successful approach by the drug companies.

The celebrity factor in promotional campaigns has been very effective at selling both the idea of menopause as a disease, and the promises of hormone replacement therapy. The FDA and their comparative bodies in most countries require that product claims are verified by appropriate and legitimate studies. But celebrities in interviews are not subject to those rules, which are designed to protect the public from misleading and harmful information. So when an actress or aging supermodel enthusiastically enacts the lines of the drug company’s scripts – that menopause is fraught with risks of diseases like alzheimers, heart attacks, colon cancer, cataracts, teeth loss, bone fractures and more (p43), in the guise of ‘education’ and personal sharing, this is seen as legitimate. There is no reference to the fees they were paid for this work, the source of their information, or its scientific validity (or lack thereof). Nor is their any mention of the fact that even initially, though there were short term benefits, the long term effects of hormone replacement therapy were not known. These celebrities were either ignorant themselves of their own status as human guinea pigs, or didn’t care.

Menopause is sold with the language of ‘decline’, as though once a woman’s estrogen ‘dried up’, so did she. She was relegated to an image of being ‘less’ than she was before, with the implication being that her value and contributions as a person were defined by something that time would take away. Unless of course she accepted the ‘help’ of the drug companies with their ‘medicine’ for her newly defined ‘disease’. So instead of being supported as her body moved into another phase of its life, women were basically told they were losing what defined them as ‘women’, as though one hormone was responsible for what made them unique individuals. As though femininity was characterized not by their own choices and expressions, but driven by hormones. And as though ‘femininity’ was equated with youth, and that once this passed, women would not enjoy their ‘best years’ as they would otherwise. And, of course, if a woman wasn’t feminine, in the appropriately defined way, then she was not really a woman…

Add to this mix the spectre of diseases that women would supposedly be in greater danger of getting, despite the fact that if scientists really knew the single cause of these diseases they would have triumphantly been marketing the cure to everyone – regardless of gender. When doctors treat alzheimers, heart attacks, colon caner, cataracts and teeth loss, they do not have one treatment for men and one for women. And in most cases, they don’t guarantee a cure with their treatments anyway. So this suggests not only do they not have the cure, but they don’t fully understand the cause. The murky waters of risk assessment are both complex and already muddied.

Women were given estrogen only in the early years of medical promotion. As studies emerged which showed women taking estrogen were more at risk of developing endometrial cancer, progestogen or progestin was added to form the combined hormone replacement therapy that became known as HRT. It was advertised for a long time as reducing the risk of heart disease, amongst other things. But in 1998, a high quality study, the HERS trial, found that in the group of 3000 older women they were studying over 4 years, who all had some form of heart disease, those on HRT were not in fact protected from heart attacks after all. And during the first year of the study, there was a higher incidence of heart attacks in the women on HRT compared with the placebo group. This was completely the opposite of what the drug companies had been advertising, based on their own observational studies, as opposed to the randomized control trial that the HERS study was.

The HERS trial was not the only one that would raise some niggly little facts about the menopause gravy train.

Ice Fishing in the Wisconsin Winter

January 6th, 2010

It’s late December… temperatures are racing towards 0 degrees. Ice is covering most of the lakes in Wisconsin and getting thick on the lakes in the Northern half of the state.

This is the time of the year when the die-hards come out to take on the bitter cold to do what they love… fish!

But ice fishing doesn’t have to be just for those fishing fanatics. If you usually put fishing into the back of your mind during the cold winter, you might want to think about reaching back and pulling it to the front a few months early. Ice fishing is definitely different than fishing in the middle of a muggy Wisconsin summer, but it may be more fun than you might be thinking it is.

Ice fishing isn’t just about staring down into a dark hole in the middle of a big cold lake freezing your butt off… if you put your line in the water and do nothing but sit and stare at the hole and never get a bite, that could end up being a long boring day, but you can make it fun (but if the fish are active and biting, then it will be fun regardless!)…

Go with friends! Unless you need some “alone time,” ice fishing with friends or family always makes for a better experience. Since ice fishing is more of a waiting game than fast-action summer fishing is, if you don’t have somebody to talk to, you might start talking to yourself! If you do go along, at least bring a radio.

Got snowmobiles or ATVs? Do you know somebody who does? Take them out on the lake with you. Set your tip-ups up, and then go for a ride around the lake… as long as you don’t get to far away from your tip-ups, you may be able to do a little exploring or have a little fun while your waiting for that 8 pound walleye to take your bait.

Don’t forget that hot chocolate or coffee! If it’s cold, nothing helps keep you warm like a hot drink… and to me, no other hot drink beats hot chocolate. Soup is always good too… and if you plan on making a lunch on the lake from all the fish your catching, be sure to bring cooking supplies, including something to actually cook the fish with.

If you’re going with friends, bring something to toss around… a football, frisbee, hacky-sack, whatever… just don’t kill yourself diving for a catch on the ice! These things will at least keep you busy while you wait for that tip-up flag to spring up.

Just remember, to make sure that you stay close enough to the tip-ups at all times so that you can respond within a reasonable time of the flag going up.

So, if you’ve always stuck to summer fishing and never wanted to venture out fishing during the winter months, you ought to give it a try this winter… you might just find out what a great rewarding experience it can be…

And just remember, unlike Wisconsin’s muggy summers, there are absolutely no bugs biting you while you are ice fishing, so you can keep that mosquito spray at home!

Deciding on Divorce: How to Know You are Making the Right Choice

January 5th, 2010

It’s a well known fact that in this day and age most marriages end up in divorce. When confronted with the possibility of “throwing a relationship away”, you’ll probably experience a lot of stress. There are some things you can do to decide if you are in the wrong relationship and if you need to get out.

I have written a few tips and guidelines to help you decide if you are making the right choice when it comes to divorce. This list is just a few key points that I think will help you. The list is not meant to be a complete list of all the steps you need to take, but will give you “food for thought”.

1. Is your partner/spouse abusive? If your signifigant other has abused you in the past, they probably will do so again in the future. If you are in a situation where you continue to be abused you need to GET OUT IMMEDIATELY! Abuse usually get’s worse over time. Even though it may be difficult to leave, there are many resources and support systems for batered people.

2. Has your partner cheated on you? For some people this is unforgiveable. If your partner has cheated on you you need to decide if you will be able to forgive them or not. Be honest with yourself. If you know in your heart of hearts that you will never be able to forgive them – you need to end the relationship.

3. Does your partner make more money than you? Perhaps you would have a better life if you left. If your partner makes more money than you, chances are you’ll get a nice alimony (and child support if you have kids) – when you combine that with your own salary you could have a better life. There are some secrets to getting more money from your divorce and also saving on the costs. If you want to be ruthless and get everything you can from your divorce you will have to find the right Divorce Method.

4. Are you happy in the relationship? Sit back for a moment and think to yourself “Am I happy in my relationship?” If you are happy, then great! If you’re not happy then you need to ask another question. Ask yourself “Can I forsee myself ever being happy in this relationship?” If you can see yourself being happy if some small changes are made, then it might be worth your effort to get marital counselling. I want to mention here that the small changes must come from inside you. You do not have the power to change anyone else (including your spouse). If can’t see yourself EVER being happy you should probably get out of the relationship.

5. Is there anything wrong with Divorce? This is a moral decision you need to decide for YOURSELF. When people are confronted with the possiblity of divorce, they usually think about how other people will judge them morally if they get divorced. You need to decide for yourself. Forget about what your parents, priest, minister, rabbi, friends, co-workers, etc.. think about the moral decision for divorce. Take the time to think to yourself “Based on my experiences in my life, Would it be morally ‘wrong’ to get divorced?” This may be a hard decision for you to make, but you need to make it. You should not do something that you believe is morally wrong. You also shouldn’t be obligated to not do something that you want to do if you think it is morally acceptable.

I hope these 5 points have given you some resources that you can decide if you need to get divorced or not. The decision to divorce is never easy, but you do have options. You need to be able to look at your life as whole and decide if it is good or bad. You also need to look at every possible aspect of your relationship with your spouse and see if the good outweighs the bad, or if the bad outweighs the good. Sometimes your judgement is clouded when you only focus on the good or only on the bad. The bottom line is to do what you need to do to have a more fulfilling and happy life.

Good Luck in Life,

Kyle Chambers

Music Business Contacts: Music Business Registry connects artists, managers, publishers, producers &

January 2nd, 2010

“The difference between success and failure is information,” notes Ritch Esra, and he should know. Along with his partner, Stephen Trumbull, Esra is a leading part of the number one most-reliable source of information on “who’s who” and “who does what” in the music business. Best of all, they can tell you where everybody is located.

FIVE VOLUMES OF DATA.

The Music Business Registry (http://www.musicregistry.com) publishes five directories: the “A&R Registry,” the “Music Publisher Registry,” the “Music Business Attorney Registry” the “Film and Television Music Guide,” and the “Record Producer and Recording Engineer Directory.” For many in the business, these are indispensable reference works.

“The directories give everyone vital, accurate and the most up-to-date information they need to contact the entire A&R, music publishing, legal and film/TV music communities,” Esra states. From comparing notes with dozens of professionals in all of these areas of expertise, I can tell you that no one disputes his claim.

More than one music industry executive has told me that the Music Business Registry publications are worth their weight in platinum. Tess Taylor, president of NARIP (National Association of Record Industry Professionals), says “I couldn’t get through one day without the directories from the Music Business Registry. These publications are the finest in the business.”

Each directory tells you how to reach industry professionals by regular mail, e-mail, direct dial telephone and fax. The books provide each person’s exact title, street address, the name of their assistant and the styles of music in which each executive specializes. Web sites are also included.

UPDATES? YOU WANT UPDATES?

The world of the A&R executive is exciting but ever-changing. Which is to say, there’s a lot of turnover in this part of the industry. So much turnover, in fact, that the A&R Registry is completely updated and reprinted every eight weeks, whereas the publisher volume is biannual and the other books come out yearly.
